a touch of sass.
Kindred Botanical Market is a family-run wholesale flower shop in Georgetown, Texas, built on integrity, long-lasting relationships, and an enduring love for blooms of all kinds. Meet the people and the sister brands behind the market.
...following in the footsteps of 22-year-old wedding venue Kindred Oaks, teenager ZuZu’s Petals Floral Design Studio turning 18 and Lincoln Chapel about to be 8.
Wanting to introduce a market that brought fresh wholesale flowers to small businesses and also wanting to invite the public to enjoy, we are excited to bring both a wholesale and retail experience to the Northern part of the Austin and surrounding areas.
We hope you’ll find a refreshing space to walk through gardens, shop a giant cooler full of fresh flowers, and go home with a big smile on your face, knowing that just for a moment, all was right in the world.
She has a BA in Communications in Radio-TV-Film (Longhorn Class of ‘89) and was a professional wedding photographer for many years in the age of medium format cameras, prior to and during the raising of her three now adult children, Jessica, Ian and Jacob, all in the Austin area and the loves of her life. In order to be a stay at home mom, she turned to the garden industry to work part time and met her husband Steve who helped found Austin’s Red Barn Garden Centers. Jessica and her husband Charles are parents of our first two G-babies, Harrison & Evie.
Longhorn wannabe since the dawn of time, has a resume that rivals the most colorful of characters. In his past lives, he has worked on a turkey farm, owned his own leather working shop, sold wares at arts & craft festivals and fairies, holds 2 degrees - in law enforcement & English literature, was the vice president of Red Barn Garden Center for 10 years, the President of Parties to Grow, Inc, the umbrella company that created Kindred Oaks and was looking forward to retirement before Elaine cornered him into this new venture. It’s okay, he’s never been good at sitting still.
Whether it’s photography, weddings, parties, or plants, customer care is central to any endeavor and we actually enjoy it. Okay, maybe Elaine more than Steve.
She started working at Kindred Oaks waaayy back in 2007 and then jumped over to Zuzu’s Petals around 2009 where she remained until 2023. She tried flying our nest but she just couldn’t stay away. We have that effect on people. ;) She’s been back since early 2025 and now she gets to help have fun in a whole new way. Heather and her husband Gabe are parents to our other two G-babies Olivia and Adelyn.
She is a veteran staff member and lead floral designer since 2019. She and her husband Marc are parents of Mel, 6, and is a treasured member of our team. HEB was her first stomping ground but Zuzu’s Petals is where she honed her mad design skills. She is incredibly talented at pulling any available floral together and creating a work of art out of it.
